PEOPLE living in the Sutton Park area of Kidderminster have been urged to get involved with Neighbourhood Watch.
Less than 20 per cent of homes in the area are members of scheme compared to a 26 per cent average in the West Midlands and 27 per cent nationally, said Conservative ward councillor Marcus Hart.
He said as well as helping reduce crime, membership of a scheme could lead to reductions in house insurance premiums.
Mr Hart joined forces with Kidderminster West Neighbourhood Watch and Tory colleague Nathan Desmond, who represents Oldington and Foley Park, to deliver 3,000 leaflets to residents raising awareness and encouraging membership.
