IN response to Simon Turner's letter (Shuttle/Times and News, December 12), we also work as estate agents in Kidderminster and, like many others based in town, have experienced great difficulty with the current parking problems.
However, some four weeks ago, we took the decision to buy season tickets for park-and-ride (cost £11 per month).
The service is excellent, the drivers could not be more friendly, and the time spent driving around trying to find a parking space is now used to sell houses.
As for emergency appointments, "I am desperate to put my house on the market in the next 10 minutes", can usually be handled via diary management, planning or a quick telephone call to a park-and-ride driver, who will pick you up forthwith and drop you by your car. Problem solved.
The more people that we can encourage to use this facility, the more car parking spaces for our customers, and more money into our already overflowing coffers.
