I WOULD like to draw your readers' attention to the campaign against domestic violence, which is being run by Conservative associations across the country and endorsed by the Police Federation.
Amongst other things, the campaign consists of posters showing the horror of domestic violence and they contain national helpline telephone numbers if those affected need to speak to someone in confidence about their problems.
At this time of the year, many women experience violence from someone close to them and many of these suffer in silence.
Many feel trapped and do not know where to turn for help. The 24-hour Women's Aid Helpline number is 0845 702 3468 and the National Child Protection Helpline is 0808 800 5000.
