AN elderly couple were left badly shaken after thieves stole £66,000 of antique clocks from their house in Broadway.
Eight clocks, two barometers and a table were stolen from the house at about 1.50pm on Monday, December 23, after a man called at the house asking for help with fixing his car.
While the elderly householder came to the man's aid, thieves got into the house and stole the valuable items before speeding off through High Street in a blood red coloured car.
PC Gordon Heighway of Evesham police, said: "I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have information, or who may have witnessed a blood red car being driven at high speed down the High Street just before 2pm on Monday, December 23, with three or four young men in the car." Police have also issued a description of the man who called. He is white, aged about 20 to 25, 5ft 7ins tall with a pale complexion. He had black, collar length straight hair and a centre parting.
