A BROMSGROVE teenager is set to turn from pauper into princess at a show in Droitwich this month.
Thirteen-year old Hayley Newnes, of Planetree Close has taken the starring role in the rags to riches tale of Cinderella at the Norbury Theatre.
The amateur production at the Friar Street theatre opens January 9 and also stars her dad, Bromsgrove district councillor Bill Newnes (Lab-Catshill).
Cllr Newnes, who features in the chorus, said rehearsals had been very enjoyable and a great reliever of stress.
Show dates are:- Thu 9 until Sat 11, Wed 15 until Sat 18, and Wed 22 until Sat 25.
All evening shows start at 7.30pm (Sat matinees 2.30pm).
Tickets are priced £7, with £6 concessions.
