n OUR local council is hard up and an appalling rise in council tax for the coming year is apparently inevitable.
Therefore, money available, such as it is, should be put to the best possible use. We hear that constructional changes are being contemplated for High Street, Worcester, and the area of the Cathedral traffic island.
Most people are quite happy with this part of town as it is. Citizens do not want change for change sake. Finance saved by cancelling such unwanted projects should be used for the benefit of the Swan Theatre and other worthwhile places of culture.
