A KNIFE-wielding robber stole a handbag from a woman as she was getting into her car.
The woman was undoing her steering-wheel lock in School Lane, Upton, just before 6.30pm on Friday, December 27, when she was approached by the man who demanded her bag.
When she refused, he pulled out a knife. He then made off with the black leather handbag.
"The victim has not sustained any physical injuries but is clearly shaken by her ordeal," said police spokeswoman Vicki Davies.
She said the description of the robber was vague at this stage but he is known to have been wearing grey gloves with multi-coloured stripes on them.
Anyone with information that will lead to the identification of the criminal, or about the crime, should call police on 08457 444 555, quoting C/653960.
