A BLAZING car that was blocking the A4104 near Ryall on Christmas Eve morning was dealt with by a fire crew from Upton.
Brigade spokesman Alec Mackie said a member of the public reported the incident 8.46am.
Retained firefighters from Upton, led by sub-officer Gary Bumphrey, attended scene and extinguished the blaze.
"It was well on fire when they arrived," said Mr Mackie.
Police were also called to direct traffic as the car was partly blocking the road.
Mr Mackie said their was no-one in the car, a white Fiat Uno, and that the cause of the fire was not known.
