FARMERS' Markets in Worcestershire are going from strength to strength, according to county organiser Janet Yates.
The market in Malvern on Saturday, December 21, was a great success with shoppers stocking up for Christmas.
"A lot of people were buying beef, pork, sausages and bacon," said Ms Yates. "The meat stall, the WI cake stall and the vegetable stall all virtually sold out."
The Farmers' Markets feature local producers selling vegetables, fruit, meat and other produce, including wine herbs and cider. The Malvern market is generally held on the third Sunday of every month at Council House car park on Avenue Road.
Ms Yates said: "The site is out of the shopping area, so people have to go a little bit out of their way, but there are not too many suitable sites in the centre of Malvern."
Seven Farmers' Markets are held every month across Worcestershire, including one at the Hunters Inn, Longdon, near Upton.
