THE Cross Keys pub in Malvern is planning a big extension, following its busiest ever night on New Year's Eve.

Following the success of Discofever, which saw revellers packed into the Belmont Road pub for a 70s-themed evening, manager Reg Reynolds said expansion plans were now being finalised. They include an extension to the function room, the introduction of bedrooms to allow the pub to do bed and breakfast and an extension to the car park.

Mr Reynolds said Tuesday night's celebrations had been "unbelievable".

"We were absolutely choc-a-block solid," he said. "We had a top night, the busiest we've ever been."
