POLICE investigating a fatal car accident at Corse Lawn on Saturday, December 7, have renewed an appeal for witnesses.
Mrs Pauline North, from Gloucester Road, Staunton, was a passenger in a Ford Mondeo estate which was in collision with a Citroen Xantia on the B4211, near the Corse Lawn Hotel. She was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital but died later that night.
The male driver of the car was also taken to Cheltenham General Hospital suffering from shock and other injuries.
The male driver of the Xantia sustained serious injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The road was closed in both directions for four-and-a-half hours following the collision. PC Darren Ball said: "I would also like to speak to anyone who thinks they may have seen either of these vehicles shortly prior to the collision as they may also be able to assist in our inquiries."
