MALVERN Town will be seeking a eighth successive win when they entertain Bustlehome tomorrow (Saturday) at Langland Stadium in the Express and Star West Midlands League Premier Division (2.45pm).

Town's run of form has catapulted them into the top six of the league table and they are now breathing right down the necks of the sides immediately above them.

Town general manager Richard Anson said: "A few weeks ago we set ourselves a target to try and get into a contending position by Christmas, and I think it is fair to say we have now achieved that.

"We are very confident that we can pull back the sides above us, although Westfields are certainly setting the standard, but have only played 18 games and a couple of defeats could alter their situation quite significantly, but the onus is also on us to keep this run going and not waste the opportunity we have created for ourselves."

Missing for Town on Saturday will be new signing Luke Willetts. Willetts, who signed from Bromyard Town prior to last Saturday's game at Tipton, and scored the deciding goal in Town's 2-1 success, is currently sitting out a seven day suspension which started on Monday.

There is a slight doubt about striker Billy Davis, who tweaked a hamstring last weekend, but Steve Walker is now fit and Dave Cannon returns fom his 21 day suspension.

Playing his last game for Town will be defender Pete Roberts, Roberts leaves for Australia next week and has signed for the Perth-based side Joonalup.

Town boss Neil Hunt said: "We will miss Pete as he has been outstanding in recent weeks, but he is only young and these opportunities don't come along everyday and he goes with our best wishes.

"The loss of Pete is tempered though by the return of Dave Cannon who was also in excellent form prior to his suspension."

Hunt will select from the following for Saturday's game: Watson, Williams, Roberts (P), Cannon, Clayton, Walker, Johnson, Walton, Palmer, Halion, Roberts (D), Cox, Davis, Goodman, Rose and Owen.
