THE mass production of animals for human consumption is becoming sickening, and makes a good case for vegetarianism.

Yet nowadays, with intensive factory farming methods, animals spend their entire miserable lives confined in small space without access to light, or fresh air.

This is before being crammed into trucks and driven to a bloody and barbaric death, so that humans can gorge themselves to excess and to perhaps an early death from heart attacks.

Cancer and obesity are the "pleasures" of greasy rashers and bloody steaks. Have we forgotten that God put us on this earth to be the custodians of these animals?
