IF the cold snap wipes out Evesham United's home match against current Dr Martens Western Division whipping boys Racing Club Warwick, do not expect manager Phil Mullen to be too disappointed.

The Robins' boss has a major injury and suspension headache ahead of tomorrow's clash (3pm) and could do with the break to patch up his depleted squad.

Nathan Jukes, Neil Illman, Paul West, Matt Gardiner, Jay Powell are all carrying injuries while Wes Joyce begins a three-match ban.

Paul Hunter has returned to Hinckley United after his loan spell while Shaun Pratt is on leave away from the Common Road club.

"I wouldn't be too disappointed if wasn't played," admits Mullen.

"With a little bit of fortune a few more of my players could be available next week but if the match does go ahead we've got enough to get by."

Evesham grabbed three points with a solid display to win 2-1 at Atherstone with goals from stand-in striker West and Steve Lutz and the display pleased Mullen after two defeats on the trot.

"We showed plenty of enthusiasm and ambition and it was nice for a few of the lads that don't normally feature to get a game," he added.
