A RETIRED vicar hopes plays he has written about war and peace will be revived as the Iraqi situation unfolds.
The Reverend Geoff Anderson's six plays have only been performed once, but he hopes they can be revived to help get different messages across to the public.
"They centre around different aspects of peace," said the Rev Anderson, of Ribbesford, Bewdley and Dowels parishes.
"The plays just write themselves, but I can't emphasise how short they are. Each one fits on to one page. They're all only three or four minutes each.
"Although you can use one or any number, the greatest power is when they're all used as a package.
"Some are an attempt at humour. It's a serious subject but I believe this can be enhanced through comedy."
The rector, who retired from his parish last Friday, said he was behind the church's opposition to the war, but accepted Tony Blair had his reasons for wanting to attack Iraq.
"We're talking about people in very powerful situations and we just don't have a grasp of the issues at stake," said the 60-year-old.
"We just see things from our lowly positions and looking at it from a totally different angle, which is where we get so many different opinions.
"Tony Blair is totally committed and he's a Christian. I think he's sincere and I don't think he's just going along with America.
"We don't know the reasons why he may think it's in our best interests."
