A SPA DJ has turned his talents to helping the disc spinners of the future.
Michael Tibke, a graduate from the Worcester-based DJ Academy, is helping to set up a new shop specialising in records and equipment for the budding Pete Tong or Judge Jules.
DJ Kingdom, in Trinity Street, in Worcester, opened last Saturday and is the largest independent stockist of DJ equipment across three counties.
Michael's academy colleagues Andy King and Damien Deighan have launched the shop, which was opened by Sundissential's DJ Charlotte Birch. Andy is a highly successful club DJ who also set up the academy two years ago.
It gave county youngsters, serious about making it big on the club scene, the chance to gain top class training and work experience.
Three other Droitwich youths - Craig Marshall, Craig Jones and John Freer - took part in the initiative and were featured in the Advertiser/Messenger leisure pages last year.
"Things have really taken off for some of the graduates of the DJ Academy," said 21-year-old Michael.
"We will also soon be launching our website," he added.
The shop will stock a wide range of genres of music including hip-hop, drum and bass, hard house and happy hardcore.
Genuine memorabilia will also be available including autographs from Oasis and Michael Jackson.
"The shop's ethos is based on supplying the local DJ fraternity with the upfront tunes with no attitude and 100 per cent commitment to customer service and friendliness," added Michael.
