IT was all flipping good fun when a pair ofWorcester pharmacy workers raced along a city street to keep alive a British tradition.
With frying pans at the ready, pharmacist Hooman Ghalamkari and city councillor Margaret Layland, who both work at DG Pharmacy in Dines Green, sprinted along Gresham Road for a Shrove Tuesday pancake race.
The pancakes were then dished up at the Green Centre, where Coun Layland, who had organised the stunt, added lemon zest to the proceedings.
"We've not had a Pancake Day race in Worcester for a while, so I thought it was about time we brought back this old tradition," said Coun Layland.
"It all helps to create a good community spirit."
