THE Governors' Discipline Committee at Tenbury High School met yesterday (March 5) to hear an appeal from the two students expelled for supplying cannabis cake to other pupils without their knowledge.
The committee will be asked to decide whether to uphold headteacher Stuart Cooke's decision to permanently exclude the two boys. If the exclusion is upheld, the parents then have the right to appeal to an independent panel organised by the Local Education Authority.
The LEA panel will either uphold the decision or rule that the pupils must be reinstated, with fixed term rather than permanent exclusions.
