A CUP final awaits Alvechurch - but it won't be at Villa Park.
The Churchmen scraped a 1-1 draw against Midland Combination rivals Leamington in the Willie Knibbs Memorial Challenge Cup second leg on Saturday to set up a mouth-watering clash with Pilkington XXX.
'Church were looking forward to a trip to the Premiership ground to play high-scoring Pilkington, who are a league lower than Alvechurch, but the venue for the early May tie is yet to be decided.
On Saturday there's a home tie in the Smedley Crooke Cup quarter final against Fernhill County Sports (ko 2.45pm).
Feckenham did the Churchmen a huge favour in keeping fourth placed Rugby to a draw at the weekend leaving Alvechurch with two games in hand over leaders Leamington and just three points behind.
