A DECISION on whether or not to allow the demolition of a town centre car park to create a cinema and three restaurants will be made next month.
The detailed planning application to transform the site of Car Park 4 has been submitted to Redditch Council by Kingfisher Centre owners Thornfield and will be debated on April 15.
If plans are given the go-ahead the current 591-space car park will be replaced with a 594-space car park, a multi-screen cinema and restaurants covering 6,300 sq ft.
Up to 1,350 sq ft for shops is also included in the proposal.
Redditch Council plans for a £50 million sports and leisure development on the site of Abbey Stadium, including a cinema and restaurants, have yet to be submitted.
