BIRMINGHAM in the 1950s is the subject of Go and Play Up Your Own End at the Alexandra Theatre from March 12.
Written by and starring comedian Malcolm Stent, it co-stars fellow Brummie entertainer Don Maclean and has a musical score by Harvey Andrews.
Set in the Birmingham suburb of Saltley, it reflects the working class life of the community after the war.
It centres on the time when Birmingham Council had a programme to move people out of back-to-back housing into new estates with modern houses and tower blocks.
Go and Play Up Your Own End runs until March 29 and includes several matinees.
Tickets cost £13-£22 on 0870 607 7535.
