RODRIGO'S famous Concerto d'Aranjuez will be performed at The Redditch Orchestra's first concert of the year at St Stephen's Church on Saturday.
Soloist Russell Poyner will play the popular guitar concerto.
He has been playing since he was nine and with Birmingham Schools Guitar Ensemble has performed at Birmingham's Symphony Hall, the South Bank Centre and on a concert tour of Hungary.
In 2000 Russell won the Birmingham Conservatoire Guitar Prize and was runner-up in BBC Radio 2's Young Musician of the Year.
He has gone on to record for television and last year was accepted on the guitar course at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena Italy where he studied with maestro Oscar Ghiglia.
The programme also includes a performance of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony and Faure's Suite from Pelleas and Melisande.
The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost £5 (£4 concessions) from the town centre information centre or on the door.
