REDDITCH were dragged back into the relegation zone at the weekend after arch rivals Woodrush suffered a shock home defeat to lowly Stourport.
Stan Hull's Redditch side crashed 16-0 at Cleobury Mortimer but were confidently expecting mid-table Woodrush to keep Stourport second from bottom.
A 20-15 loss for Woodrush saw Stourport trade places with Redditch who sank to second from bottom with two teams set to be cut.
Stourport are only one point ahead of Redditch with three games to play but, crucially, still have to play a match against winless Five Ways Old Edwardians.
Hull will not want his side's Powergen North Midlands One status to hinge on Five Ways beating Stourport and now needs at least two wins from his last three games and has to his relegation rivals suffer two losses.
The Kingfishers have a friendly date at Stratford Seconds on Saturday (ko 3pm) and Hull wants to put his strongest side out in a bid for continuity ahead of a make-or-break run-in.
