ALCESTER won the bragging rights with a last gasp derby win over basement boys Claverdon.
A healthy crowd roared on both sides in a fractious, often violent, clash.
And Alcester skipper Pat Lamb said fitness work from his players is paying off.
Lamb said Alcester's impressive form this year had attarcted new faces to Kings Coughton for a renewed Powergen Warwickshire One title tilt next season.
The Kings Coughton side still have third place in their sights with three league games to go.
Alcester trail third placed Dunlop by four points and entertain Midlands Four West South outfit Shipston in a friendly on Saturday (ko 3pm).
Sam Vernon is ruled out after picking up an injury in the Claverdon battle but Lamb hopes to field an otherwise unchanged side.
