CATSHILL WI began its February meeting with a visit from Morag Rooney, deputy manager of the Blue Cross Animal Sanctuary in Wildmoor Lane, Catshill. She was presented with gifts of pet food and bedding which the ladies had kindly donated towards the welfare of the animals.
The speaker was Anne Taylor whose theme was "Learning with Laughter". She demonstrated her alternative way of teaching languages using colours, pictures and charts. She found her pupils enjoyed learning this way and progressed more successfully than in the more traditional teaching methods.
The competition "A Written Joke" was won by Jean Morris.
The Catshill Ladies were very pleased to welcome several new members and visitors. New members are always welcome. The meetings take place on the second Monday in each month at Catshill Village Hall at 7.45pm.
