HIGH-SPIRITED drinkers from Droitwich have won praise for their participation in a madcap charity pub crawl.
Five tipsy teams from across the town entered the NY Appeal wheelbarrow race, which included tipples in 17 Spa hostelries.
They collected more than £800 for the charity fund run by NY Taxi boss Paul Williams.
On Friday he presented teams with certificates to reward their boozy efforts last summer. The cash helped to fund outings for the disabled and underprivileged families.
Paul told the Advertiser: "We had a really fun day that raised lots of money for the NY Appeal.
"I must mention the Westcroft Arms pub team, which came first and also the Christian Salvesen volunteers who collected the most sponsorship."
