Ewyas Harold Reserves 2 Leintwardine Colts 2
A TORRENTIAL downpour immediately after the interval ruined what had been a very entertaining and competitive Hereford Times Herefordshire League Division 2 clash at Ewyas Harold.
After a delayed start a strangely lethargic Leintwardine allowed their hosts to dominate. Harold applied sustained pressure and took a 20th minute lead with a fine 25 yard strike.
Leintwardine got back on terms when Phil Stokes picked up the ball in mid-field and beat two defenders before finishing a fine solo run with a crisp drive.
Five minutes before the break Leintwardine took the lead when a Wayne Priday free kick found Rob Morris unmarked at the far post.
Immediately on the restart torrential rain made the pitch almost unplayable with both teams struggling to move the ball in the clinging mud, but mid-way through the half Harold managed to scramble an equaliser when Leintwardine failed to clear a goalmouth melee.
