THE organisation which helped to secure funding for a community project in Alcester held its first annual general meeting on Thursday.
The South Warwickshire Together Partnership was formed to bring together voluntary groups and local authorities to address issues in rural areas.
After a £3 million award from Advantage West Midlands for the PIE Scheme (Promoting Inclusion and Enterprise), £90,000 was given to Alcester Opportunities to extend the sports pavilion on Conway Estate, create a community centre and employ a community development worker.
The meeting on Thursday was a chance for project workers to hear the progress on this and other schemes.
