MEMBERS were welcomed by Diane Xavier to the February 20 meeting.
Carol Smith read the minutes of the last meeting and the future programme was discussed.
Speaker Alan Benjamin gave a talk about his music and Morris dancing.
He played a number of instruments and explained how the dances differed around the country.
He had also danced with Zulu warriors on a trip to South Africa.
Morris dancing groups always have a comic (known as the fool) and Alan was the 'fool' in his group.
There is no written history of Morris dancing but it is thought it originated from the farming community.
