WORCESTERSHIRE is one of the worst counties to live in due to its landscape and lack of heritage.
But a survey released by Country Life magazine shows the county, which is in 27th place out of 36, scores highly for its county council services, burglary statistics and tranquillity.
The county lost out to Devon as the best county for its quality of life.
Herefordshire was also ahead of Worcestershire with its ranking of 23rd.
Worcestershire received nine points out of a possible 10 for burglary statistics and eight points for its tranquillity.
But it only scored one point for its landscape value, despite being home to the Malvern Hills, and no points at all for its education - despite regularly breaking the national targets for GCSE results.
