IN about 1952, my mother knitted me an all-in-one red suit with a hood and every Saturday I would ride on my father's shoulders from our home in Highfield Place, Kidderminster.
We would go along the Chester Road to Aggborough where we would take our place in the Cowshed.
I would spend the time running along the fixed wooden benches, or kicking up the ashes, or playing behind the shed by the rabbit burrows.
I seem to remember a railway yard being behind.
There was a small ticket office in the stand but this was not used and I played in that too.
My father, Derek Stockley, faithfully supported the Harriers until he passed away in 2000.
