YOUNGSTERS took priority at The Theatre in Chipping Norton this week with performance by the Juniors Youth Theatre and an introduction to Shakespeare for young people.
The Juniors Youth Theatre worked their way through a busy working day, moving through numerous appointments at various locations.
Using the skills they have learned in their weekly sessions, they explored the situations they encountered in an unusual performance on Monday and Tuesday.
The theatre will present a youngster's introduction to Shakespeare this morning.
The hour-and-a-half of entertainment, aimed at children aged between eight and twelve, mixes mime, magic, song, participation and dialogue, woven around the Seven Ages of Man speech by Shakespeare, All the world's a Stage.
Chris Harris's highly visual show demonstrates there is more to Shakespeare than the written word.
It takes the audience on a journey through life, looking at our attitudes towards others, our thoughts, prejudices and ourselves in a fun way.
Tickets for Shakeskids - An Introduction to Shakespeare are £5 and are available from the box office on 01608 642350. The show starts at 11am.
l Chris Harris presents his own show at 8pm tonight, telling the true story of one man's Morris Dance of 125 miles in nine days from London to Norwich, later recorded in Kemps Nine Daies Wonder.
Will Kemp was a famous Elizabethan actor and a shareholder with Shakespeare in the Company of the Lord Chamberlain's Men.
