ATHLETICS: Steve Gould worked his way through the field to win Kidderminster and Stourport Athletic Club's Treat Multi Terrain eight-mile race on Sunday.
Gould also led the host club to a team victory as he clocked 47 minutes 10 seconds.
The course, starting from The Kingsway, was finished by 162 runners.
Second Kidderminster and Stourport member home was Gary Corbett who was ninth overall in 50-43.
Harold Lambert was first veteran aged 50 and over in 54-01, scooping 14th position.
And Stuart Granger's 20th-placed run in 55-46 enabled the team to take first prize.
Other runners were Martin Wilmott 58-41, Nick Brown 59-44, Graham Amer one hour 01-54, Dave Carter 1-03-45 and Ron Gough 1-15-47 (Amazing Feet Running Club's results - Page 101).
Meanwhile, Tom Kenderdine ran 46-10 to give him 93rd place in the senior men's event at the English National Cross Country Championships in London.
Gould was 256th out of 1,300 runners in 49-57 and Matt Granger was 77th in the U-17s race in 25-45.
