More than 100 four-legged wannabes turned up to the Stourport mayor's dog show on Sunday to swell two district charity's coffers.
Don Giles estimated £200 will be shared between his chosen causes, Kemp Hospice and Wyre Forest Citizen's Advice Bureau.
And he hailed the Civic Centre event for "putting Stourport on the map".
"It's a national show the week before Crufts," said Mr Giles. "People come from quite far afield to enter. It's got a good name and it's getting better."
