MAY I express my resentment at having to pay such a large increase in Council Tax. With inflation at 2.7 per cent, how can an increase of 11.9 per cent be justified?
My wife and I, like many thousands of others, will be getting a pension rise of around £4 per week. This will give us a joint total of £134. With income from investments at an all-time low we have to live within our budgets.
It's time councils learnt to do the same - but then it's too easy to spend other people's money.
