CHADDESLEY Corbett returned to third place in West Midlands League Division One South with a fantastic 5-3 win at fellow high-fliers Mahal.
Richard Burton (two), Ian Vogel, Craig Pratt and Neil Lucas scored the goals with Terry Smith providing four assists.
But the match was far from easy as Chaddesley squandered a 3-0 lead to be pegged back to 3-3.
Vogel powerfully headed home a Smith corner to put Chaddesley ahead on 15 minutes and Burton made it two following good work from Lucas, Pratt and Smith.
The visitors continued with impressive passing football and Smith slipped his defender to cross for Pratt who headed home a third goal on 55 minutes.
Though the game looked all over, keeper Steve Parker misjudged Mark Bellingham's speculative 25-yard shot which caught the wind and landed in the net.
Two short corners from the home side then caught Chaddesley out with Jasvinder Sira grabbing two goals to level by the 70th minute.
But the villagers regained the lead six minutes later when more trickery from Smith found Lucas who dropped his shoulder to deceive the keeper and score his first goal of the season.
They made the game safe four minutes from time when Pratt was brought down and man-of-the-match Burton dispatched the penalty.
Chaddesley's players are asked to meet at Brintons at 1.30pm for Saturday's game with Bewdley Town.
