Coldland Colts 2, Evesham Utd U-9 4

AFTER going behind to a slick Colts move, Evesham levelled when Henry Woods slipped the ball to Ben Bearcroft to score.

Goalkeeper Leon Ballard was called upon to make two saves before again excelling in turning another effort round a post.

Woods then gave Evesham the lead the scorer the turned provider as Bearcroft doubled his tally for the day.

Craig Whiting was magnificent in defence, although with James Schembri and Sam Ford winning the battle of the midfield, there was always good support.

Ford then scored a classy individual goal for Evesham's fourth before the hosts scored a late consolation past a helpless Ballard.

Evesham Colts U-14 5, Pershore Tn 1

COLTS, fielding a full team for the first time in several weeks, took the game to Pershore and were rewarded with a double first half strike from Will Gayton.

Pershore were always dangerous coming forward but resolute defending denied Town a goal.

Colts extended their lead when Gayton completed his hat-trick before Pershore reduced the arrears with a fine strike from Gareth Jones.

Daryl Beattie then got on the score sheet and Colts rounded off an excellent victory as Gayton fired in his fourth.

Littleton Jnrs 5, Salford Rvrs 0

LITTLETON finally started the second half of the season with an easy win.

The game started off quite tight but the home team opened the scoring when a Jake Nightingale shot was deflected into the net. More pressure saw the lead increased when Daniel Hartland found the net from distance.

Jack Dell struck first in the second half after a well-worked move as Littleton took total control.

Jonathan Davey scored his first goal for the club and continued pressure saw Dell score his second to round off the scoring as the Salford keeper produced numerous saves to deny further goals.

Pershore Tn 2, Littleton Jnrs 6

LITTLETON made a good start with Wesley Burden scoring the first two goals.

Liam Lewis hit back before half-time and it needed strong defending by Ashley Stanbra, Anthony Sherriff and William Russell to keep the Town at bay after the restart.

Jack Jeffery scored a third for Littleton then Burden completed his hat-trick and then went on to add another.

Lewis snatched a second for Pershore before Joe Nightingale had the final say in a comfortable win.

Drakes Broughton U-11 3,

Littleton Colts 1

THE losers will consider themselves unlucky not to have taken anything away from Saturday's exciting match.

Drakes Broughton doubled their interval lead with a superb free kick, but Littleton continued to match them for effort and came close several times.

Drakes scored on the break, before Jack Phillpot headed in a late consolation for a hard working Colts outfit.

Vale Wdrs U-12, 4 Inkberrow 1

A GREAT team performance gave Wand-erers a deserved victory.

Roberto Vernaschi headed home powerfully from Tom Waghorn's corner and then turned provider with a superb cross for Tom McLaughlin to score with a smart header.

Joe Sinclair then pulled off a great save just before half-time to preserve the two-goal cushion.

The second half saw Vernaschi put Vale three goals to the good with a powerful strike before Inkberrow pulled one back.

Jonathon Cother was having a great game and Vale came close to adding to their score on a few more occasions before Josh Soer grabbed the fourth when he forced the ball home from close-range.

Bredon Colts 2, Badsey Rgrs U-13 4

VICTORY in Sunday's League Cup quarter-final leaves Rangers just one win away from a return visit to Whaddon Road, the home of Cheltenham Town.

Leading 2-0 after the first leg, Badsey were quickly pegged back and were lucky not to concede more than one goal in the opening stages. However, the storm was weathered and Jamie Clarke soon levelled the match on the day.

Owen Powell then gave Rangers the interval lead before adding his second nine minutes into the second half to settle the tie.

Bredon continued to pour forward but were again caught out at the back as Joe Smith made it 4-1.

Sloppy defending allowed Colts a second late on but Badsey's semi-final place was secure.

Evesham Utd Robins U-10 3,

Malvern Wdrs 0

THE first half saw Evesham play some of their best football of the season with sweet passing moves and superb wing play from Michael Savidge.

Centre back Hayden Grantham scored the opener with a shot from ten yards into his own half.

Jake Hall was at the hub of the passing moves and Malvern conceded a second when Hall passed to Savidge who cut inside and drilled home a fierce shot.

Gilbert and Scarrott battled hard and a third soon came from the lively Karl Myers.

Malvern came more into the game in the second half and Evesham lost a bit of shape but remained comfortably in control.

Littleton Jnrs U-12 2, Peopleton 1

NEWLY crowned league champions Littleton were made to struggle for the points against hard working opponents.

The heavy ground made it difficult for Littleton to get their passing game going and they found themselves under constant pressure and it was no surprise when they fell behind after a defensive error.

Littleton forced a series of corners that brought several goalmouth scrambles but the goals just wouldn't come.

They finally equalised just before half-time when Ben Johns broke his personal goal drought.

The second half found both sides evenly matched and few chances were made although Sam Bastow made a brave save at the feet of a Peopleton forward. Littleton finally grabbed all three points when Luke Lowerson's header fell invitingly for Johns to hammer home a volley.

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 5, Dunnington 2

THE Robins came up against a greatly improved Dunnington side who took the lead when Harry Naylor fired in a low shot at the near post.

Josh Downey equalised with a fine individual effort before George Naylor restored Dunnington's lead. David Stringer then levelled again after good work by Downey.

After the break United's defence of Nathan Jelfs and Scott Andrew, together with good saves from Tom Bennett, kept the Dunning-ton attack at bay.

It was Downey who put Robins into the lead for the first time, before completing his hat-trick following a back pass mix-up. David Stringer finished the scoring when he fired in a shot that went in off both posts.

Burlish Olympic 2, Peopleton U-15 5

THE visitors produced a stunning five-star show to upset the league leaders who were unbeaten since the opening day of the season.

An excellent all-round team display sentenced the Stourport hosts to a shock defeat as a 3-0 interval lead left Peopleton in command.

Mark Bellamy, Adam Izod and James McCrum were the players on target, while the former struck a fourth from the penalty spot after Matt Clements, who produced some fine stops, had finally been breached.

Lee Miller then rounded off a great display with his side's fifth - an acrobatic overhead strike - before beaten Burlish added a second late on.

Peopleton U-14 5, Mickleton 0

ONLY succession of excellent saves from visiting keeper James Carter prevented an even higher margin of victory as the hosts hit top form.

Ross Sailes opened the scoring after good work from James Allen and the scorer then sent on to create the first for Alex Spencer who went on to complete his hat-trick.

Luke Frankum's superb 25-yard volley capped a fine attacking show by the hosts.

Worcester Saints 2,

Norton Rgrs U-15 0

NORTON failed to capitalise on a flurry of early corners and paid the price when Saints opened the scoring following a free-kick.

Heads dropped by an interval pep talk from coach Rob Knight revived spirits and Scott Williams almost levelled when his angled shot hit the side-netting.

Norton were rarely troubled at the back with player of the match Richard Perry in commanding form but a freak goal settled the contest when a hopeful shot was misjudged by the Norton goalkeeper.

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 2,

Bredon Colts 3

PLAYING their second game in two days Robins faced an in-form Bredon side who struck the first blow when Liam Robinson scored.

Josh Downey continued his goal run to equalise but Bredon restored their lead from a free kick on the edge of the area.

After the break Colts increased their lead from distance before Daniel Francis replied for the Robins after an excellent pass from Mark Washington.

However, Bredon held on to their lead to make it even tighter at the top of the Ambassador League.

Westbury Utd 2, Evesham Utd U-13 7

EVESHAM maintained the pressure at the top of the Mercian League with this deserved victory.

It took the winners an unusually long time to get into their stride in the first half, before three goals in quick succession allowed them to take control of the game by half-time.

A Liam Scrivens cross-shot deceived the Westbury goalkeeper and then Jamie Kerr latched on t o a Mike Walters pass for the second.

Ben Bearcroft fired home from the edge of the box to make it 3-0.

Evesham continued their domination after the restart and Kerr further increased the lead before Westbury pulled a goal back.

Bearcroft scored his second from a cross from Walters before Chris Stringer scrambled home the sixth.

After Westbury had reduced the deficit from a free-kick, Scrivens wrapped up the scoring.

Inkberrow U-10 0 Drakes Broughton 4

RAIN made it heavy going but Drakes took an early lead through Ross Day who then added his second before half- time.

Inkberrow battled back well and only strong defending by Ashley Lane and Luke Hadleigh denied them a goal.

Some great passing in the second half allowed Max Begley to score his first for Drakes before Tom Bird finished the scoring.
