I WOULD like to comment on the article "Waste set to go to capital" (Shuttle/Times and News, February 27).
If our waste authority does not want to do the job that they are paid for then I suggest that they resign en bloc and at least save the hard-pressed Council Tax payers the cost of their salaries.
This scheme is even worse than the one rejected by the planning inspector.
The failure to conduct a proper BPEO (Best Practical Environmental Option) assessment as part of the decision-making process was one of the main reasons why they lost the appeal.
