AN EXCELLENT all-round team performance resulted in Evesham Ladies completing a league double over Bredon on Sunday.
Although having the majority of the play and creating numerous chances, it took Evesham until the stroke of half-time to open the scoring when Amanda Payne was on hand to hammer home her first goal for the club after Fran Rollins's shot came back off a post.
Five minutes into the second half Bredon equalised when a shot from the edge of the penalty area took an awkward bounce and deceived goalkeeper Mandy Upton.
Evesham were immediately back on offensive and Nicky Bond fired narrowly wide before just failing to connect with Charlotte Benson-Wil- son's through ball.
United regained the lead after 14 minutes from time when Lisa Tustin played the ball forward for Bond to flick the ball over the advancing goalkeeper and into the net.
The third goal arrived three minutes later when Bredon failed to clear a Benson-Wilson corner and Charlene McCloughlin hammered a close-range shot into the roof of the net for her first goal for the club.
Bond and Benson-Wilson continually caused problems with their runs from midfield and it was the former's cross after 83 minutes that picked out Tustin and her deflected volley again found the roof of the net to complete the scoring.
Evesham travel to Victoria Park on Sunday for a rearr-anged league game against Malvern.
