EVESHAM'S Fun Day Run Day on May Day has been saved - and will be better than ever.
"It is going ahead on Monday, May 5, and it is going to be the best we have ever had," said the mayor, Councillor Diana Raphael, following a public meeting in the town hall on Tuesday.
There were fears that the event would drop out of the town's calendar of events because of a lack of volunteers to help organise and run one of the most popular days for the Vale.
The mayor said: "The event will be on the Crown Meadow and we are now actively looking for more volunteers to help in the run-up and on the day."
