NIGHTCLUBBERS will be wondering what to do for three weeks when Marilyn's undergoes a complete make-over.
After 20 years in Bridge Street, the name is also to be changed to Innuendo following a £250,000 refit.
Managing director of Marilyn's Leisure, Ciaran MacCana said: "We are putting a lot of investment into the business. There will be a much more attractive entrance hall area and a totally new interior dcor design, with state of the art lighting and sound system, and a new bar area.
Toilets will also be upgraded. We have employed local tradesmen to carry out the work, one of them being DesertOak."
Mr MacCana added: "The club will be an even more attractive social venue for club-goers and most importantly - local customers. He said: "They are very important to us and we want to offer the best we can to keep that loyalty."
The club will close on March 15 after a three-night fancy dress end of an era beach party. It then reopens on April 9 kicking off with fun events and special themed evenings.
Marilyn's Leisure also owns the former bingo hall in Evesham's High Street. The company gained permission to redevelop the sight into a second nightclub in February 2001, but it still remains empty.
MacCanna said: "This site involves a much bigger investment so we decided to get Marilyn's in Bridge Street renovated first." He said the High Street work, expected to cost about £1.5m, should be completed sometime this year.
