LITTLETON Loopers' Bruce Ford made a mockery of the seedings in the Evesham Table Tennis League's Lower Divisions and Cadets Championships.
Playing as the number eight seed, Ford put his indifferent league form behind him to win the Lower Division Singles title at the event, which was held at Evesham High School.
He beat team-mate and number one seed Andrew Taylor in the quarter-final, and went on to defeat previous winner Stan Owen (Bengeworth 49ers) 11-7 11-7 11-6 in the final.
None of the top four seeds was able to reach the semi-finals.
Ford was unable to retain his cadet boys title, however, beaten in the semi-finals by eventual winner and team-mate Martin Brown who defeated SDM Spinners' Luke Moffat 11-7 11-6 8-11 11-6 in the final.
Moffat gained some compensation winning the H2O Division Three singles title, beating Evesham Eagles' Alan Chung 11-7 11-8 11-7 from an excellent entry of 32.
Littleton Blades' Leanne Sully beat Evesham Swans' Rachael Sellick 11-6 15-13 11-8 to win the cadet girls final to add to her Worcestershire schools title.
Brown picked up a second title when in partnership with Faizi Freemantle they beat Terry Lown and Howard Freemantle in the Handicap drawn doubles final.
In a repeat of last year's Division Two Doubles final Rob Sexton and wheelchair player Colin Green beat Brown and Taylor 12-10 8-11 11-5 12-10.
In the first running of an over 60s event Wyre Coils' Ray Griffiths beat 76-year-old John Mytton (Bengeworth Blues) in the final game of the round robin to lift the title.
