Twelve members embarked on a Worcestershire County Council ITC programme, with knowledge and ability ranging from none to self-taught reasonably competent members. At the February meeting Jean Fraser gave a slightly "tongue-in-cheek" report on their progress, so far.
The guest speaker for the evening was Jacky Harris, who had taken along a selection of winter foliage shrubs and plants which can be used to enhance indoor flower arrangements.
The plants ranged from Corylus "Contorta" (corkscrew hazel) through ivies and cordylines, to Garrya elliptica, with its grey catkins, and were on sale to the members.
The speaker on Monday will be Amanda Hunt, who will talk about Women in the 18th Century.
As always, visitors will be welcome.
There will be a "bring and buy" sale.
