A VAN driver has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on a Worcestershire road notorious for the number of accidents.
The man was driving a white box van that was involved in a collision with a tipper truck on the B4084, formerly the A44, at Cropthorne, near Pershore.
Both vehicles were travelling in the Worcester direction when the accident happened around 8am yesterday.
Two crews from Evesham fire station and the emergency tender from Worcester attended to help release the driver, who was trapped in his cab.
A team leader and ambulance crew from Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service also attended.
The man was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham with abdominal and pelvic pain.
n A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after his machine was in collision with a red Ford Mondeo car opposite Cannons Health Club, on the Droitwich Road, Worcester, at about 6pm yesterday.
