ANOTHER book fair is being staged at Powick Parish Hall on Sunday from 10.30am-4.30pm. Refreshments are also on sale.
Powick Ramblers walked the eastern hams last Tuesday over a route of five miles beginning at Powick Church. The walk was led by David Allen. This Monday, a five mile walk around Callow End will be led by Pat Ash and Chris Evans. Meet at the Old Bush car park at 10am. For details ring (01905) 830094 or 831415.
Powick Guild held its annual lunch at Manor Farm in early February with 17 members attending. Tickets have been booked for Fiddler on the Roof in Malvern and transport will be arranged at the meeting this Tuesday. Members are asked to bring favourite stories or poems to read or an account of an adventure, embarrassing moment or a comic event. Plans are going ahead for a trip to Ironbridge in June. New members are welcome at the meeting, which is held at Powick Parish Hall community room at 2.30pm.
The March RSPB meeting on Wednesday at Powick Parish Hall has as its speaker Wendy Conway, who will give A Bird's Eye View of Lesvos at 7.30pm. Apart from the usual sale of bird seed and raffle tickets, second hand paperback books will be on sale.
On Sunday, the first in Lent, the family service at 11am will include infant baptism at St Peter's Church, Powick.
