POWICK entertained Archdales in this Nursing Cup semi-final and against a much higher-graded team put in a creditable performance.
POWICK 0, ARCHDALES 2
Powick made a couple of early chances when Steve Hadley crossed for Nick Pullen to head just wide and minutes later Adrian Whittal-Williams kicked a long ball downfield that cleared the visitors' defence for Bryan Craven to shoot just over.
In the 27th minute Archdales were awarded a penalty when a player was pulled down but keeper Adrian Whittal-Williams made a good save.
Archdales took charge in the second half with goals from Andy Wood and Ben Trafford.
Powick enjoyed a number of chances as the game petered out but failed to take any of them.
Man of the match was Adrian Whittal-Williams.
Thanks to Bowling Green Garage, who sponsor Powick's match balls and sponsors Dolphin Showers.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Powick are away to top-of-the-table Hallow WMC (3pm).
