Having read the headline 'Youth Survey is critical of Police' (Malvern Gazette, February 21), I was very encouraged to hear a story from a friend in Pershore.
Her son had been attacked in Malvern and she couldn't speak too highly of the way the police handled the situation and was very grateful for their intervention.
This is the second time this family have sung the praises of Malvern police. On the previous occasion, an off-duty policeman was passing in his car and saw a fracas in a phone box in Malvern Link. He stopped and intervened just in time as the same son was being robbed and attacked.
So let's give the police some credit and encouragement for what must be an increasingly difficult job.
