PUPILS at Swan Lane First School celebrated World Book Day yesterday by coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters.
Popular choices among the youngsters were characters from Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings but some chose to dress in pyjamas and slippers ready for their bedtime story.
The children gathered in the school hall on Friday to see each other's costumes and prizes were awarded for the best class.
