A MALVERN dog owner is once again preparing for the most famous of dog shows, Crufts.
Sue Sanderson, of Orford Way, is entering her two Pomeranians in the Birmingham competition, which will feature 20,000 dogs from across Europe.
Ms Sanderson's dogs, two-year-old Warleggen Suburban Fox Among Sandchize (known as Scout) and four-year-old bitch Warleggen Ring Out the Auld (known as Deana) are on the way to being Crufts veterans and automatically qualify for each years' competition because of their success at previous shows.
Having attended the show every year for the past six years, Ms Sanderson said a first place for either dog would be nice, but acknowledged that competition would be very tough.
"You get the glitz and the glamour at Crufts," she said. "You can buy anything and everything for your dog and there's a lot of overseas visitors. You've got all the top winning dogs in England and Europe."
Crufts opened at the Birmingham NEC yesterday (Thursday) and runs until Sunday.
