MALVERN Town travel to Willenhall tomorrow (Saturday) where they play Wolverhampton United in the Express and Star West Midlands League Premier Division (2.45pm).
Town are desperate to get back into action following a period that has seen them play only once in the last three weeks and in the process have slipped from third to sixth place.
Town general manager Richard Anson admitted that it has been a frustrating period.
Anson said: "The problem is that we had no fixture last Saturday and the Kington game scheduled for Tuesday was postponed as they had cup commitments which took priority, but all our rivals have ben playing and getting good results in the process, which means we have now got some catching up to do. It is important that we get a victory tomorrow and maintain the form we were in prior to the Tividale defeat two weeks ago."
Likely to be helping Town's cause is midfielder Grant Pinkney. Pinkney is expected to conclude a move from Evesham United in time for tomorrow's game.
Town boss Neil Hunt said: "Grant is a talented player and will give us a boost and also increase our options across the midfield."
Hunt though has one or two injury problems to contend with, Craig Williams, who picked up knee injury at Tividale, is rated very doubtful, whilst defenders Andy Chalmers and Nick Clayton are also carrying knocks. Hunt is hopeful that the latter two will be fit and he will select from:
Watson, Chalmers, Williams, Cannon, Clayton, Walker, Pinkney, Halion, Walton, Johnson, Palmer, Roberts, Cox, Hooper, Willetts, Owen, Leighton and Taylor.
The first team have no midweek fixture.
Race night
TOWN will be holding a race night at the Social Club on Saturday, April 5.
This is a professionally-run event, by Showcase Racing Limited. The first race will be at 6pm.
